Hello! I'm just looking for some clarification here. I arrived to Thailand from Malaysia (land crossing) on a single entry 60 day tourist visa. I did the one month extension already in Bangkok and am now in Pai but my visa is nearing expiry. Does any one know if border runs are still a thing in Mae Sai? And would I be eligible to do that? Or do I have to properly leave Thailand and come back on a new visa exemption? I'm hoping to avoid having to pay for a visa. Thank you in advance 😊

No...its each border run which gives you 30 days plus added 30 days extension 1,900 Thai baht. This can be done two times each calendar year.

I can extend another 30 days at immigration on my initial single entry tourist visa even though I've already done it once? Didn't know that! I still might just go to Mae Sai since I'll be going to Chiang Rai very soon anyways. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't have any issues once I get there. Thank you!

Yes you can do a border run at Mae Sai.

Easy to do. And you can extend added 30 days at Thai Immigration 1,900 Thai baht. This can be done TWO times each calendar year.
