I am currently on a 30 day extension from a 60 day tourist visa ( UK passport) . I have heard i can then get a 60 day visiting Thai family extension ( once per visit) So 2 part question please.
Is it possible to get this extension now i am on the normal 30 day extension or did i have to use the family extension first?
And if it is possible would this start the day i apply or would it be put onto last day of current extension please.
I have asked my local immigration office and they do not deal with this extension type.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for the 60-day visiting Thai family extension while on your current 30-day extension. This can be done as long as you meet the necessary requirements and have the correct documentation. The family extension will start from the day you apply, not the last day of your current extension. Ensure you go to the main immigration office for assistance, as local substations may not handle this type of extension.
You should've got the 60 days first. If you didnt tell Immigration you have Thai dependants they'll only give you 30 days. You may be able to get the other 30 days by going back to the Immigration office.
i actually went into immigration with my thai family and the staff there had no idea about the family extension ( it is a small office though and not the main immigration for the province)
Yes you can apply for visit Thai family 60 day before the 30 day expires.
If you qualify and have all the correct docs of course.
It would start the day of application.
Go to your local immigration and ask what you need, if you are near a substation or some offices they might not deal with it, but whatever main immigration you are near will absolutely.
