Finishing up my Ed Visa and year extension on the 8th of May. Is it possible to bounce out in Ranong and get another 30 days without question? I hold a US passport that has a few Non Immigrant O visas issued in the states. This would be my first border bounce this year. TIA.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can do a border run in Ranong to obtain an additional 30-day visa exemption, after finishing their Ed Visa year extension. They are holding a US passport with prior Non Immigrant O visas. Community responses suggest it's possible to make the border run, but precautions like having a ticket and proof of sufficient funds are advised. Additionally, obtaining a letter from their school confirming their study completion and canceling the current extension at an Immigration Office is necessary before the border run.

Ok thanks. Would it be best to have a ticket in hand to fly out June 1st and 20k in baht?

You have to get a letter from your school with the last date of your study, cancel your current Extension of Stay at Immigration Office before you make your border run. It is possible to do your first border run this year for a 30 day visa exempt entry, I can not tell if the Immigration Officer will or will not ask you a question.
