I'm an Indian passport holder. Is it possible to change tourist visa to NON-B without going outside Thailand ?

I can get all the required paperwork from employer. Some agents told me that you can not convert Tourist visa to NON-B while staying in Thailand. So what i would like to know, if its possible to do it without leaving Thailand?

some agent allow you to pay some fees to immigration officer to change from tourist to non b try to ask them

You dont need an agent if your docs/paperwork are in order.
