Hi everyone,
I was offered a job so I need to change my current visa to a Non Immigrant B visa in order to get the work permit processed.
I have read that it is possible to obtain your Non B visa within Thailand at a few different immigration offices. If possible I would like to avoid another trip to Vientiane or another place outside of Thailand with an embassy or consulate.
I have been told it is possible to do it in Chaeng Watthana and then someone else told me they recently stopped issuing Non B visas.
As it seems that these things are constantly changing in the current “climate” I have a couple of questions;
Has anyone done this at Chaeng Watthana recently? When? Did you do it by yourself or with an agent? How long did the whole procedure take? And how much did it cost altogether?
All useful replies will be much appreciated. 🙏🏻
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on changing their current visa to a Non-Immigrant B visa within Thailand, expressing a preference to avoid traveling outside the country for this process. They inquire specifically about the ability to obtain the visa at the Chaeng Watthana immigration office, asking for recent experiences, procedures, and associated costs.
