Presently a follower to my wife, she has a Type B. I had a type O volunteer before I left last March but was stranded in Canada due to Covid. My visa ran out and couldn't come back on my volunteer but as a follower as mentioned above.

I want to change back to my type o. My question is ...Do I have to leave the country to reapply for the Type O or because of Covid can I change while in the country or do I need to do it from another country??

Please advise ....TY

Answer summary

The user is currently in Thailand as a follower on a Type B visa and wants to switch back to a Type O visa after previously holding it before being stranded in Canada due to COVID-19. The question focuses on whether this change can be made while remaining in Thailand or if it's necessary to leave the country to reapply for the Type O visa, especially in light of any COVID-related allowances.

If you had obtained your volunteer visa by other means then you will need to enter Thailand using either visa exempt entry or tourist visa and explore your visa options after ASQ quarantine.
