I need to change my visa from a non-b to non-o. Plan to change it in Vietnam, but due to other commitments, I can only go on a Thursday night and come back to BKK on Sunday night latest. Is this enough time to go to the Thai consulate/embassy in Vietnam and get the Thai visa all in one day, on the Friday? I heard you can get an e-visa which speeds things up but I've never used this service before and need some guidance on what to do..and if I have enough time...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about changing their visa from NON-B to NON-O in Vietnam, specifically regarding the feasibility of completing the process within the limited timeframe of a weekend. Comments suggest that it is unlikely to get the visa on the same day, as the standard procedure requires turning in paperwork on one day and exchanging the passport the following business day. Additionally, users recommend visiting the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and mention the possibility of engaging visa agents for expedited services, though there are no guarantees for same-day processing.

Which do you recommend I go to? The consulate or the embassy? Both in different cities. I know the consulate is in Ho Chi Minh. This is for a non-o marriage visa.
, when you go to the thai consulate, see if there are any "visa agents" hanging around the gate. Maybe they might offer "same day service" (for a fee ;) ).
They don't offer "same day" service at the thai consulates in vietnam.
You turn in your paperwork on the morning of one day and you pick up you passport the afternoon of the next business day.
If you're gettin' there on Thursday nite, you're gonna turn your application in Friday morning and you aren't gonna get your passport back until Monday afternoon.. :/
