TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on an O/A visa and inquired about the possibility of changing to an O visa for retirees. Comments suggest potential issues with timing for the change and offer solutions such as leaving the country and re-entering to start the visa process anew.

No problems. Leave the country and re-enter. Start the process again for a NON O and extend for a year.
