I have a retirement visa (non-o) and my wife also have a separated retirement visa.
Can my wife change her retirement visa and follow my retirement visa ? (So she does not have to keep 800k in bank)
Update: my wife finally can change from her retirement visa to “following” my retirement visa. Document Required : passport copy both of us with related visa and stamp; marriage certificate original plus color copy ( need certified true copy and endorsed by Thai embassy of the translated copy) picture of us in our house, etc. she doesn’t need to keep 800k in her bank.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asked if their wife can change her separate retirement visa to follow their NON-O retirement visa in Thailand to avoid the 800,000 THB bank requirement. After an update, it was confirmed that she can change her visa to "following" his retirement visa, provided they submit necessary documents including passports, marriage certificate, and a household photo. Additionally, community members discussed the process of proving financial capability for visas and noted that previously, a trailing spouse visa could only be applied outside Thailand.
