Can I leave Thailand with an 'under consideration' visa stamp if I have a flight on the same day it expires?

Good day -

I applied for a covid extension last week and have an under consideration stamp. I am supposed to return to get the visa on the 10th. But now I have found a flight home that leaves at 9pm on the 10th. Can I just leave without doing anything? Do I need to go through security before 5pm or something like that? I don't care about an overstay fine of a day if that is the penalty but don't want any unexpected trouble. Thanks for any advice!

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can leave Thailand on the same day your 'under consideration' visa stamp expires, as long as you exit before 11:59 PM on that date. It is recommended to go through immigration by around 7 PM to ensure you catch your flight. Most immigration offices are lenient with those who are unable to travel due to COVID-19, allowing for a few extra days without penalties.

An "under consideration" allows you to stay in Thailand until 11:59PM the day of the stamp.

>home that leaves at 9pm on the 10th.

You will have to cross through immigration at around 7PM to catch your flight in time. When you cross immigration, you enter "no man's land" and no longer (legally) in Thailand.

>I don't care about an overstay fine of a day if that is the penalty but don't want any unexpected trouble.

For the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, most immigration offices allow a person to close out the stamp a few days after the due date without penalties.

You'll be fine :)

as long as you stamp out of thailand at passport control before 11:59PM on the 10th (the date your current stamp runs out) you're fine. You can just leave.
