Hello everyone! I am currently in Hanoi, Vietnam and want to apply DTV visa. Can someone tell me if this message means that I have to go to the Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi? Or Can I do everything online here from my hotel?

Answer summary
The consensus from community responses is that you can apply for the DTV visa online from your hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is important to select the appropriate consulate based on your current location, and all application processes can be managed digitally. You need to provide proof of your presence in Hanoi, such as an immigration stamp or hotel booking. Several users shared their experiences indicating that the Thai Embassy does not allow public access; everything must be completed online.

I am from malaysia KL. I first applied through KL consulate but rejected. I ask the officer and they say there is not remake why it is rejected. They tell me can try pply again on different branch (Penang or East Malaysia). I later applied to Penang consulate even i am KL and got it.
I went to the embassy....you are not allowed near or in...there is a guard outside to push you away...the embassy is for Thailand citizens only...it all has to be done online. My girlfriend is Thai and she was allowed to go in and request for me answer and they told her my application must be done online.
It took me several weeks to get my reply of a visa...I was already back in Thailand already on the 60 day US free tourist visa. They gave me 90 days permission online. But I had already booked to leave Thailand. In a way I had 2 visas at once...from the airport and embassy.
That means the Thai Embassy in Hanoi only covers the districts mentioned above. You can apply online from anywhere hotel, café, wherever. as long as you’re actually in Hanoi. They’ll also ask for a passport stamp to confirm you’re there.
