Can I apply for the remote worker DTV in Thailand while on a working holiday visa in Australia?

I work remotely for an Australian company and I am currently in Australia, on a working holiday visa, looking to apply for the remote worker DTV.

My visa ends soon but I will continue to work remotely. I will have the relevant employment documents and payslips/bank statements etc, but do you think there will be any issues as I am not originally from Australia? I'm not sure whether to apply from here or go elsewhere to apply (maybe Vietnam).

Any advice welcome, Ta.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on applying for the remote worker DTV while on a working holiday visa in Australia. They are unsure if they should apply from Australia or another country like Vietnam due to concerns about their original nationality. Comments indicate that it is possible to apply from anywhere outside of Thailand, but specific documentation, including a certificate stating 'Remote Worker', is required. It's noted that applicants should ideally have at least three months remaining on their current visa to avoid issues, as processing times can be lengthy.

I did my remote worker DTV in Sydney. They require the employment certificate to state Remote Worker. Otherwise it was straight forward.

Can be from anywhere and can apply from anywhere other than Thailand. However, must meet all qualifications and must possess all documents.

If you have 3 months or more left on the visa shouldnt be an issue. Less than that might be risky. Some people have had to wait upwards of two months for the dtv to be approved. Just something to consider.
