Can I apply for a NON-B visa from within Thailand or only from another country like Singapore?

Looking for your expert advice:

Is it possible to apply for non-b visa within the country or only outside the country? If outside can apply in other country than home country (eg: Singapore)?

My current visa is non-o based on Thai child and I'm Hungarian nationality.

Thank you for the help in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary

The NON-B visa must be applied for outside of Thailand; it cannot be converted or applied for while inside the country. An applicant can apply for this visa at a Thai Embassy in another country, such as Singapore.

You can not convert or change the reason of a used and invalid Visa inside the country.

If you want to be inside the country using the Non Immigrant B visa you have to leave, apply at a Thai Embassy and return using this new visa.

Check the websites to the Thai Embassy which you like to visit, some Embassies only work on appointment and Singapore has an online application, you can also see the requirements to obtain a visa.
