Hello all,

I am currently studying Thai language in Chiang Mai with an education visa.

I have a United States passport.

Can I apply for a new education visa at the Thai Embassy in Cairo, Egypt?

Kap khun ka ❣️

Summary so far

The user is currently studying in Thailand with an education visa and is inquiring whether they can apply for a new education visa at the Thai Embassy in Cairo, Egypt. A commenter mentions that since the user already has an education visa, they can extend their stay with the help of their school, rather than applying for a new visa.

Good Luck Iman. You have choices to make. Hopefully Thai Immigration agrees with the ones you make. I close commenting.

Why you want to get a new Education Visa. You already have this kind of visa and as long as your course is going you can apply with help of the school for Extensions of Stay.

If you can enroll in a new course for another year of Thai language, your school needs to prepare all the documents again needed to apply at a Thai Consulate. I suggest you check with the school the Thai Consulate in Egypt to make sure you meet all the requirements.

Yes, but as the Thai Language Course only takes max 1 year, your last Extension of Stay will be in August.

@Robert ******

to my knowledge I only get 3 extensions per visa

My third extension will be in August

Are you saying I do not need to leave the country for a new visa one year after the original? I can keep getting extensions every 3 months in Chiang Mai (as long as I attend class)?
