Hello.

I currently have a non-immigrant ed visa. I am a student in Mahasarakham university but now I’m doing my internship in Koh Samui. Can I extend my visa here without having to go back to Mahasarakham ? I want to avoid traveling during this time. I already called the immigration office over there and they said I have to go back and extend my visa there. Are there really no other ways? Thanks.

Answer summary

The user currently holds a Non-Immigrant ED visa as a student of Mahasarakham University and is seeking to extend their visa while doing an internship in Koh Samui. They wish to know if it's possible to extend the visa in Koh Samui rather than returning to Mahasarakham, where the immigration office indicated an extension must be done. One comment provides clarity by stating that extensions should be obtained from the immigration office where the original visa was extended.
