Wanting to apply for DTV for medical treatment, does anyone know if they accept Medical certificates from clinics and not hospitals?
Also has anyone been able to use their partners income to prove they have income and 500,000 baht in the bank? As I am out of work due to medical conditions but am financially supported by my partner and my name is also on his account.
Been talking to a lawyer and they’re saying it’s possible but to pay a fee to continue with the process, thought I’d see if anyone else has been able to get the DTV under these circumstances.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around applying for a DTV (Digital Nomad) visa for medical treatment in Thailand. The original poster inquires whether medical certificates from clinics are acceptable for the visa application, given feedback from a lawyer indicating that a valid medical certificate from a hospital is typically required. Additionally, they seek information on whether it's permissible to use a partner's income and bank account to meet the financial requirements, as they are currently unable to work due to medical issues. Comments suggest that official documentation needs to come from hospitals, with one user noting their appointment cards were not accepted.
