London Embassy - Has anyone applied since 1st September WITHOUT the ACRO being issued (just hoping it is 'requested' at some point during the DTV application process, by which time hopefully the ACRO will have arrived)? I'm debating doing that (applying before receiving the ACRO), however worried it might cause more issues than it solves?

Thanks for sharing those links, really useful for checking the official stance. I’ve heard from others that the London embassy tends to reject applications outright if the ACRO isn’t uploaded upfront, so probably best to wait or confirm directly with them first.

Applying without submitting your criminal record will not solve anything since it is clearly stated that you need it. They did not introduce it just for fun and it is also not optional, so I don’t think they will make an exception in your case. It will only raise mor suspicions, your application will get rejected and you will loose the application fee

Do they not ask for it from step 1? Someone posted earlier that they applied for it and received it within 11 days. I applied on 1st September and still waiting (but I have lived overseas and apparently that can slow things down)

Yeh, they do, however I was wondering whether I could basically leave it blank, or upload the application confirmation for the ACRO, so that by the time the embassy assess the application, they can request it (and by then the ACRO will have arrived) - that's my logic (albeit, it may be flawed). Just wondering if anyone else did that.

Personally I think it’s a bit risky because they could flat out reject you for not uploading what they ask for in the first instance.
