I have a work permit that has expired. But it is still linked to my passport. Can I apply for DTV while I still have this work permit on my record?

Even if the work permit has expired, it continues to matter. For eg: you cannot get a 30-day extension of your tourist visa from he immigration office until your work permit is legally removed.

I don’t want to renew the work permit instead of that I want you get DTV. Renewing with permit costs 50k baht for 1 year.
