Anyone applied DTV for Remote worker or Freelance category (Not softpower skill) right after expiration of ED Visa ?? 🤔

I’m actually holding ED visa and has remote job (I know it’s not good).

In case that I will be asked to submit last a few months payslips, I would be suspected that I work remotely with ED visa ….?? 🤔

Do you think I should apply DTV for soft power skill category ?

I couldn’t find anyone asking same question this group in the past. Need your thought thank you 🙂

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about transitioning from an expired ED visa to a DTV visa for remote work without facing issues due to their previous visa type. They are concerned about being questioned about their remote job while holding an ED visa. A commenter shares their experience of successfully applying for the DTV visa by canceling their ED visa after receiving a letter from their school, indicating studies had concluded.

I received my DTV before my ED visa expired, had no issues. You just have to tell your school that you are canceling your ED visa and then it'll take them a week to give you a letter stating that your studies have concluded and then you take that letter to immigration to cancel the extension of your Ed Visa if you were still on one. You have to bring the letter, your passport and also photocopies of your passport pages. It doesn't interfere with your DTV in my experience.
