TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a 30-day extension on your TR visa on or before its expiration date of 1st July. It is recommended to apply as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute issues. The extension adds 30 days to your current stay, so applying in advance does not result in losing any days.

Waiting till last minute is a bad idea. If it's your first time you really wanna take care of it right away. It extends from the date of your stamp not from the date you go to extend. So you still get 60 days.

You can apply for a 30-day extension for tourism purposes on or before the last day on your entry stamp. 30 days will be added (top-up) to your stamp, so you won't lose any day when you apply for an extension in advance.

No need to wait until the last minute.

You need to meet the requirements and you must be with a nationality that is not except from tourism extensions.
