I'm heading down to Thailand (Pattaya) in 2 weeks quick 3 day stay. I'll enter as tourist (Aussie) so no visa needed. I want to get a 12month non-immigrant visa, as I'll be back every month. Can I grab one at Pattaya immigration office, or should I do out of country?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A visitor to Thailand (Pattaya) wants to know if they can apply for a 12-month Non-Immigrant Visa while in the country for a short stay as a tourist. Fellow users mention the requirement of at least 15 days for processing and suggest applying for such visas before arriving in Thailand or looking into options from their home country.

okay, people stay ON topic. The O/P said they're coming to thailand, and specifically pattaya AND they wanna apply for a 90 day Non-O inside the country then a year extension.

Mark just for info, I did my OA in Australia. It was really easy and done in a week including postage from Perth to Canberra and back.

, don't forget you now need insurance for an O-A visa.

That would be a no answer,

you need a minimum of 15 days because the application goes under consideration for 14 days before you go back to get the 90-day Non-O Visa then you would need to wait another month before you could apply for your year extension

taa. So given I'll only ever be in country for 12 days (on break from work), would I be better applying for one at embassy in Mongolia?
