Hello everyone!

I got a new non immigration O family visa in March. Since then, I've been stuck here in Sweden an will probably not be able to travel to Thailand for months.

Can I apply for a new visa although my current one is valid for another 6 months?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of applying for a new Non-Immigrant O family visa while currently holding a valid visa for another 6 months, but being unable to travel to Thailand. Community responses advised that since the user cannot travel at the moment, there is no immediate need for a visa. It is recommended to wait until travel restrictions lift and then discuss visa options closer to the time of travel.

Wait til the borders open, sorry, but there is no need to have a visa in your passport that you can not use at the moment.

When borders are going to open we can discuss the best option for you.

As long as you can not travel into Thailand, there is no need to have a visa. Wait until the borders open up again and then get a visa before you make your way to Thailand.

All very interesting but why do you want to cancel a valid visa to apply for a new visa that not allows you to enter a closed country?
