It depends on what your immigration office requires, some require a fresh TM30 for even a 1 night stay in a hotel, others only after a trip outside Thailand. You need to ask them
Vaughn Chambers as already stated No I live in Udon Thani I went to surin for 3 days stayed in a hotel. I was wondering the same so I went to immigration and asked the question they said no problems.
Vaughn Chambers legally your landlord is supposed to check you out and in. Requirements by immigration seems to be just wanting a recent TM30 when you need something. My landlord did submit a new one when we returned from visiting family in Sa Kaeo two weeks ago. One hotel copied my passport but I saw her copy an expired stamp and didn't want something that looked like an overstay, so I showed her the correct stamp to use and report.
