Can I activate an electronic METV also by land border crossing?

Case : it seems the German /Thai embassy is late so I will receive my metv while already in Thailand- thinking to activate it by a border bounce by land.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can activate an electronic METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) by exiting Thailand and re-entering through a land border. Several comments confirm this process. One user received their METV just before their flight, indicating that the timing of receipt may also be manageable.

Considering how the Procedere in Germany works - I don’t even have to be in the country

Good to know - btw just received my METV 2 days before flight - maybe they sent it last minute so I can make the most of it - I want to believe they think like that.
