Just did my first 90-day report in person today (BKK). Immigration staff told me that since I have a DTV, my next reports must also be done in person. Is this a new rule? Can DTV holders no longer use the online portal? 🙏🏻
Answer summary
The rules regarding 90-day reporting for DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) holders have recently caused some confusion. Based on user experiences, it appears that the first 90-day report must be done in person, regardless of the entry, which is consistent across many immigration offices. Some users mentioned that reports could be submitted online after the first report or under certain conditions, particularly if individuals leave the country before reaching 90 days and re-enter. It's noted that many DTV holders may not reach a second report because of the visa's requirement to leave before 180 days. Therefore, the online reporting option is likely not applicable for most DTV holders during their first entry. As regulations may vary and are subject to change, it's advisable for expats to verify with local immigration offices.

Had Dtv for 2 years now and have never been able to do a 90 day report online,
Always need to do first 90 day report in person then after 180 days you need to leave out and in to get new stamp anyway then ur back to doing the first 90 report in person again.
Its a minor inconvenience for such a great 5 year visa
If you did your first 90-day report sometime within the 15 days early reporting period and didn't leave until around day 180 then you could do a report on online. It isn't just your first 90-day report It's the first 90-day report after each entry that must be done in person. Most people leave at day 180 or before and therefore wouldn't do the second report on the current entry stamp. So when they reenter they will be doing their first 90-day report in person. Rinse and repeat
Not new as most immigration offices require you to do it in person after each entry. Unless you extend in-country, you can’t do it online. A few exceptions exist but most don’t succeed.
in chiang mai they told me my second one can be online! but if not it wasn’t anything complicated and was done in person not more than 5 minutes so im not worried
