Situation

Person studying an education degree at a Thai university. In English. The person has an education visa. Can this person work as a teacher part time in Bangkok legally. Is it possible to get a work permit with an educational visa.

Can the person not get a work visa, work part time and also attend college classes during their time off?

They could get a Non-B visa (there is no work visa) and a work permit BUT they would have to make above the threshold income for their country to get extensions on that visa, however if they did they could go to school IF they had any free time.

If the school wants to hire her legally (work permit etc) she could go to school on the non-B.

You can INTERN if it is part of your continued education but that's it.

In order to work you need a work permit and you can't hold a work permit on an ED visa.
