TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the legal framework for working in Thailand, specifically focusing on the requirements for obtaining a proper visa and work permit. It clarifies that the ED visa (Education visa) is typically not suitable for employment, and other visas such as the Non-Immigrant B or O visas are required for legal work. The comments emphasize the legal risks and consequences of working without the appropriate visas and permits.

And before some other "smart" comments are made, I close the commenting. I described what you need to work inside Thailand. This page is for advice to do things legal. This because none of you is willing to pay the price if get caught: Jail, court with fine up to 100.000 Thb and blacklist between 0 and 99 years, Immigration Detention Center until you buy an one way ticket to your home country.

To work in Thailand you need two things, a Work Permit from the Ministry of Labor and a visa that allows you to work inside Thailand in combination with that Work Permit, the mostly used visa for this is the Non Immigrant B visa or the Non Immigrant O visa based on married with a Thai National or based on being a volunteer, if you like to work as volunteer, not for paid jobs. The Visa Exempt Entry, the Tourist Visa and the Non Immigrant ED visa are all Employment Prohibited and normally is this stamped on the visa, see example:
