Are two blank pages in my passport sufficient for a visa change in Thailand, and will my work permit need to be updated with my new passport information?

Good afternoon mods and community, quick question here; Italian passport (expiring at the beginning of September) and METV visa, current stamp 24FEB-24APR - got a job and I’m aware that it is possible to change type of visa, either tourist or visa waiver, to Non-Immigrant within the country. My question is, are my last two consecutive blank pages enough? And another thing, when I will get the new passport, will the work permit need to be amended with the new passport number? Thank you all

PS: I’m aware about the fact that the year extension won’t be stamped if passport expires before; my question was about the first 3 months stamp. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the sufficiency of two blank pages in their Italian passport for changing their METV visa to a Non-Immigrant visa while in Thailand. Additionally, they seek clarification on whether their work permit needs to be updated when they receive their new passport.

You need one whole page for an initial in-country visa stamp. You also need a bit more than a half page for the initial 90-day stamp (space depends on how the officer arranges stamps).

If you still have two "visas" pages, not "amendments"/ "endorsements" pages, you may be able to apply for an initial in-country visa. But not enough for a re-entry permit if you need to travel.

Check what type of pages you still have.

Also, check which minimum days policy the local immigration office has for in-country visa applications, 15 working or calendar days. If 15 working days policy, you need to apply for the initial visa within 1 week.
