Are Medical Certificates and Insurance Required to Fly from Thailand to the USA?

Mar 22, 2020

I'm reading stories on other pages that people are not being allowed on flights even to go home without medical certificates and insurance. I'm just trying to get home at this point. Can anyone confirm is this true? My flight is Bangkok to tiwan to Montreal to Chicago. USA passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster raises concerns about the necessity of medical certificates and insurance for flights departing Thailand amid COVID-19. While other comments speculate about the rules for inbound vs. outbound travelers and suggest verifying information with airlines, the consensus indicates that requirements may vary, and it's important to check with the airline directly before flying.

I gave you the link to check yourself and told you to speak with the airline company.

This page is for Thai visa advice and yes we are trying to help in other situations due to this virus, but going to do research for you how things go on, on airports all over the world, is just a little over the top.

Thanks for understanding, have a good flight and stay healthy.

inbound flights is seen as airplanes arriving in Thailand not leaving. You can check with you airline company which restrictions the USA has as they are really updated, but you can have a look at this page
