Does anyone know if they are going to have a test and go hotel in the North East of Thailand as it would be crazy to have to fly back to Bangkok to have the 5 day PCR as there are SHA + hotels but they dont cater for the test and go

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the availability of Test and Go hotels in North East Thailand, particularly to avoid the necessity of returning to Bangkok for PCR testing. Comments mention that there are SHA+ hotels and ASQ options in places like Chiang Mai and Buriram. One user indicates that local hospitals can also provide testing facilities, which could be a more convenient option. However, clarification is given regarding the requirements for the new Test and Go system, emphasizing the need for an SHA Extra Plus hotel for the fifth day PCR test.

You can go to a local hospital, I flew back from Cambodia on the 5th Jan, I live in Sa keao and I had a choice of two hospitals to go to here for the 2nd test. There is a link somewhere with all the hospitals you can go to in each province

this is only true for those under the OLD test&go.

For the new test & go you have to make a reservation at an SHA Extra Plus hotel for day 5 and get your Covid test through the hotel.
