TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, one-way car rentals are available in Thailand, particularly from larger car rental companies such as Avis, Budget Car Rental, and Thai Rent A Car. While the convenience of dropping off at different locations is offered, it typically incurs an additional charge, which can vary based on the rental duration and distance between pickup and drop-off locations. Experiences shared by users suggest prices can be reasonable, such as approximately 8,000 baht for a month-long rental.

It's possible from companies who anyway charge you 3 times more than local companies .

Chic rental charges no extra fees for one way rentals - highly recommended

Not often, but some do. Budget does 1 way rentals between big cities (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket), minimum 3 day rental.

Call or look online to see if you can drop off at different locations…I’m sure the mega rental companies like Hertz won’t mind

it’s easier to ask others who’ve done it before and I have places suggested already who do do it , utilize the resources at hand first.

sometimes you get bad information that a 20 second Google search would tell you otherwise

Depending on how far you need to travel you might want to consider a taxi.

then you are correct, a rental will suit you best. The internet is your friend. Search many rental websites to get the best price. Don't accept the first one you see. But one way rentals will probably require you to go with a major rental chain. Good luck!

Yes. I used Budget Car Rental a few years ago. Hired in Hua Hin and dropped off at Ubon Ratchatanni Airport.

Yes one way available at some companies. Use rentalcars.com to do a search, putting in the different return location. The longer you rent, the better your chances.
