Hello, has anyone recently applied for a Non-O visa in Hanoi, Vietnam? How long does the process take? Do they ask for additional documents, and what documents are generally required? Do they require a 3-month bank statement, or only a current balance on the date of application?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Non-O visa application process in Hanoi can vary, but it generally requires a current bank statement showing a minimum balance of 800,000 Thai baht. While specific requirements may differ between consulates in different cities, applicants often report that the process takes around 5 business days. Additional documents such as proof of current location (e.g., hotel receipt, passport stamp) may also be requested.

I don't know if Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh are entirely the same, but we used HCM and it took 5 business days. They only required the most recent bank statement showing at least 800k Thai baht. They require proof of current location (hotel receipt, Vietnam passport stamp, etc)
