TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry relates to the interpretation of the limitations on visa bounces for tourists in Thailand after receiving a warning stamp on a visa. While some participants in the discussion clarified that generally, the two allowed bounces are counted per calendar year, it is suggested that travelers should be cautious if they have received a warning stamp, particularly when applying at different consulates.

, people usually get the warning stamp from a consulate they hit "back-2-back" over and over without jumping around from consulate to consulate.

Because the consulate doesn't tell you when you pick up your passport that you also got the warning stamp, many people don't even notice it and go right back to that same consulate and get denied. There was a post on a forum a while back where a poster was adamant that the officers at passport control stamped it into his passport. They don't, it's the consulate that does it when you get the visa.

There are reports now that the thai consulate in Phnom Penh will not even issue you another tourist visa if you have a warning stamp from another consulate in your passport. :O

, that red stamp is not a limit on entries to Thailand. Consulates and Embassies will put this warning stamp if you apply for back to back tourist visa.

Thanks Robert. I'm not being disrespectful towards you in any way, just trying to understand the protocol . Another person who posted in this thread posted this stamp on their TV which suggests there may indeed be limits on visa entries.

, as I read it, due to the red stamp he is asking just to do a border bounce. There are no limits on Visa entries, that is the reason I answered and posted the official announcement. Most people use the word bounce as just passing border controls out, into other country and turn around and come back Thailand.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting the meaning of a 'bounce' . So a bounce in his case would be him returning on a visa waiver, from what you are suggesting, and then subject to two calendar year land border entries. I interpretered a bounce as the op leaving the country and then returning on another tourist visa. If so, your announcement does non mention visa conditions.
