Am I eligible for the 60-day COVID extension after my husband's work permit is canceled?

Hi there. Question about the 60 day Covid extension. I am here on an extention of stay based on a non-o spousal dependent visa with my husband, who is on an extension of stay based on a non-b (with work permit). He will leave his job soon and cancel the extension and work permit and I assume that I will need to cancel my extension of stay - is this correct?

After our extensions of stay are cancelled, I understand that we may apply for 7 days for 1900 THB. However, I have also been told that we may currently apply for the 60 day COVID extension for the same price. Can anyone confirm if we are eligible for the COVID extension based on the circumstances described above?

This will affect our plans of when to leave the countryso it's important for us to be sure about it. Thank you for the help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on whether they can apply for the 60-day COVID extension after their husband's work-related extension and permit are canceled. They have been informed that their extension is dependent on their husband's status. The critical factor is canceling their extensions before the expiration date of the COVID extension program, which is March 30th. If this is not done in time, they will need to consider alternative options such as the 7-day exit stamp.

Your extension is piggy backed on his so when he cancels his you cancel yours at the same time effective the same date.

You would need to get the extensions canceled BEFORE the current order allowing 60 day covid extensions expires (which is March 30th) if you got the extensions cancelled by then you could apply for the 60 day covid extensions.

If you can't get them canceled before the 30th of March, all you can do is watch the news to see if they extend the covid program or not,

OR

as you pointed out cancel the extensions and get the 7 day get out of thailand stamp.

thanks very much. I read on 'The Thaiger' that the officers can do the visa extensions up to May 30, are you certain it's March 30? I ask as even he hands in his notice today it would be cancelled in 30 days (after March 30)

I'm 100% sure the ability to get 60 day covid extensions stops on March 30th,

its March 30...last day to apply for 60 days which if granted takes you to May 30.

Thank you so much for the clarification. If I may ask another way (sorry for the nusiance), if we were to apply after the March 30 deadline would we be given an extension (although not 60 days)? That is, since the officers are allowed to grant up to May 30. Thanks again.

pretty sure the answer to that is no since as things stand they can't grant that extension after the 30th March

You are not understanding. They are not allowed to grant up to May 30th :/

That is how long a 60 day extension applied for ON the 30th of march <- the day the program STOPS would be good for. 30 of March + 60 days is 30 of May :)

IF they don't extend the program and you applied after the 30th you'd get the 7 days get out of thailand stamp only

I don't suppose you can comment on the likelihood of the program being extended, can you?!
