How far in advance can I do the one year extension of my Non-O based on retirement in Chiang Mai. Is it 30 or 45 days? My current Non-O extension is through 8 Nov. I’m traveling much of October and would prefer to renew before I depart. 45 days before would work. 30 days would not since I leave 5 Oct.

Went to Nonthaburi Immigration office yesterday to apply for first one year extension to non o retirement visa, apply for multiple re-entry permit and file first 90 day report. Whole process took 90 minutes.

Couple of things (maybe Nonthaburi specific);

1. Booked appointment online. Print out the booking confirmation and bring with you as they will ask for it.

2. Each page of your back up documentation ( passport pages, bank statements etc) need to be signed and certified “true copy”.

3. The STM.2 document that I had filled in beforehand was not accepted as there is a newer version. (It’s a simple document to fill in on the spot anyhow).

4. As I was there in person and applying for a one year extension, they didn’t even look at my 90 day report application. Note the next 90 day report is required 90 days after my visit to immigration ie March 22nd 2022 and NOT 90 days after start of my new visa extension.

Hi. I am a Canadian who arrived back in Thailand on November 4, 2021 with my Thai wife and I was admitted on a 90 day Non-O Visa based on visiting spouse and family. Well I went in Udon Immigration yesterday (Dec. 20) and filed for a One Year Extension and this granted with the words, "...under consideration of the Immigration Bureau Applicant must contact this office again in person on March 3,b2022. The Immigration lady said to come back and I would then get a One Year Extension. All is good, but my question are threefold:

1} Do I have to come back on the exact day of March 3, 2022 or can I come back earlier or even later?

2) When will the year extension start and finish?

3) We are going back to Canada in April, 2022 and returning to Thailand in October 2022. Will I be able to enter Thailand on this Extension? Is there something I must do with Immigration beforehand?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,

I need to get a visa extension quite soon. Just wondering if there is a new protocol due to the virus or do we still just go to the immigration department?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi guys, thank you for this group taht made me stay so long time on tourist visa here !!! however the things have changed now , I have Non Immigrant O Single entry visa based on marriage, and I need some advices.

I will travel around 3 times out of Thailand this year, and I ask myself if a Non O multi entry wouldn't be better than the one year extention. I am not sure of the pros and cons in these 2 methods especially about the price .

Also immigration ask me many documents for the 1 year extension, and I am not sure if I have to do everything again if I move to another house or another city.

It would be nice if someone could highlight me about all this. I know I could go to ask all this to Immigration office, but if you think that, it's because you never went to Siracha's one
