Hi there, I'm about to apply this month for the DTV Workation from SPAIN (I fulfil the economic and remote work requirements), to relocate before mid-2026.

However, my couple will apply in a couple of months from now, and may struggle a bit more for the economical requirements. I'm totally supporting her and have funds for living both, but not sure if this is considered when she applies later (we're not married). I'm periodically sending money to her in small batches via joint-account to help her meet the criteria. She's self-employed in Spain and runs online shops, but sales are not going so good recently, and her income is not so high these days.

Do you think she may struggle to get accepted for the DTV Workation as having low income now; or source of minimum funds be challenged?

In case she gets denied, should be an option for her to reapply short after but for SOFT POWER instead? The thing is that we would stay for 7-10 months in Thai, but we will live in different places during this period, as want to know different regions. I don't have much knowledge about the DTV soft-power requirements. Any help will be much appreciated 🙇 Thxx!

Hey there, does anyone know if it's a problem, if the account balance wasn't quite 500,000 for one or two days in the last three months? For example, I had 500,000 for six months, except for two days when it was maybe 490,000.

Thanks in advance 😌

Hi this is my first post here, but i do read the posts daily. My question is: When I last went to immigration on Jomtien to renew my marriage extension the immigration officer asked me whether I had a UK pension. I though that this was odd because as I understand it one only needs to bring 40K monthly into Thailand from abroad to qualify for the extension. Does it matter where the 40K comes from, so long as its outside Thailand? I transfer the money monthly from my personal UK account to my Thai bank account. It is not in the form of a pension.

Thanks in advance.
