Yesterday I applied at Phuket Immigration to change my visa from a TV 60+ 30 to a Non O based on retirement.

They asked me for 3 more documents that weren’t on the list of requirements.

1. Landlord passport copy.

2. Landlord house book.

3. Landlord Company Business information.

I'm staying at a monastery as a layperson on visa amnesty. I entered Thailand on Feb 28 with a visa exemption stamp. The abbot before has supported foreigners to stay longer and signed letters to the immigration office.

How would this process work in light of covid? Can I change to a volunteer or religious visa from within Thailand? How soon do I need to start this process? Are there any confirmed stories of someone on visa amnesty who successfully changed to a 3-month visa, or who were denied a 3-month visa?

What is needed to keep one's work permit valid if you change from a B Visa to an O Visa? Can you notify the MOL of the change and use the existing work permit or is a new work permit required?
