Got my DTV approved & flew into BKK the next day, had a female IO stamp me in. She looked a bit moody but no questions asked even though she took her time to look at my docs

What date does my visa expiry date looks like to you ? 20th June or 20th Jan, 2026 ?

If it’s 20th of June then it’s over 180 days that I got stamped in (190 days ?)

Please advise, if this will become a problem for me & how should I rectify this. Thanks in advanced !

Does the "savings" account need to be the same as the bank account income is deposited into? I guess I would just show the history of both accounts?

Will be applying via soft power route in London (I'm from the UK). Should I mention that I have an official career break with the NHS? (Can take up to 4 years to travel).

I am technically employed but can't work remotely, I have an (up to) 4 year career break with the NHS - not earning wages but I have a job to go back to if I need it.

I don't have a monthly income at the moment.

Should I show proof of my career break, to show I have backup plans, or will it overcomplicate things? 🙏

I am thinking of getting a remote job because my income as a freelance might not be enough. How long do I need to hold that job until I can apply for the visa? Not asking if I need to keep it, that seems obvious 😉

I just arrived from Taipei to Chiang Mai 12/13/26 11:00.

The airport was not crowded.

Immigration had many officers waiting for us.

I showed the officer my DTV Visa stapled in the passport.

He asked no questions, smiled and said “ Welcome to Thailand."

I checked my passport and was correctly stamped in for 180 days.

NOTE: there was a typed document in multiple languages pasted on the immigration window saying, “Please show your hotel or address where you will be staying".

Remember this is one of the "3 Proofs"that we hear about. I was not asked but I had a reservation for a $4 hotel.

How many of you remember the other 2 "Proofs"?

Quick question, will my TM30 be valid if the land lord files it like 5 days prior to my arrival?

I rent a house with my wife, however I don’t stay in Thailand much as I have to Work in the USA while we wait on my wife’s US CR1 visa process, and I mentioned to them I’ll need the TM30.

However they want my passport page now, as if they want to do it now.

I won’t be staying long enough to have to do 90 day reporting, but I will have to get a certificate of residence to update my drivers licenses, as my first 2 years ends in February.

Concerned them doing it ahead of time will somehow cause problems later.

Has any vets from US used their va disability as source of income for DTV? I told them I was medically retired and getting va disability compensation for life. And showed screenshot along with bank statement where it shows that money has been deposited every month for years.
