Hello folks 🎉🎉🎉

I really love Thailand and the diversity-friendly vibe here.

I’m exploring long-term options to stay in Thailand legally while working on creative online projects (streaming/content creation).

I’m considering two options:

The DTV (5-year multiple-entry) visa

Enrolling in a Thai or English language program with yearly renewal

I’m still researching and would love to hear from people with real experience.

Are there any recent policy changes or things I should be careful about?

🫐 Thanks in advance 🙏

Hello! Would love to hear from someone who has got a similar situation to me, who has experience of applying for the DTV visa.

I’d like to apply as a content creator. My main platform is YouTube where I make travel content. I don’t have a huge following, about 6k subscribers, and I am part of YouTube’s partner program, so I do monetize all my videos. However my YouTube revenue is currently very low. So relying on that alone would not be enough to live on. But I’m looking to grow my channel during my stay in Thailand and update my channel multiple times a week, (which increases the income.)

So when in the application they ask for annual income, I’m worried it might be low, even though I’ve read that there’s no minimum income requirement, only the 500.000 baht requirement.

Luckily, I have enough savings. I’ve got significantly more than the 500.000 THB required. More than double.

Would love some opinions on this case. If you have been in a similar situation, or know someone who has, if love to hear your experience.

Please be kind🩷

Hey guys, looking at applying for DTV for my family and I (myself being the primary visa holder and my 2 kids as dependants & my partner/spouse.) We are currently travelling around Asia and starting up content creating, but haven’t got a professional portfolio done yet as it’s still in its infancy. Have sufficient funds to satisfy the 500,000 baht criteria.

Couple of questions:

Would it be best to apply under soft power, like Muay Thai (I’m actually interested in doing this)

Also, my partner and I aren’t married, but have children together, would she still qualify as my spouse?

Appreciate any feedback/suggestions 🤙🏽

For content creators who have successfully applied - what evidence did you show? I primarily make income through Patreon, is it enough to document your earnings through different income streams? I’m only just filing my first tax return for 23/24 now and it was a very small earnings year - it’s vastly improved now in 24/25 so I’m worried they’ll be concerned about my past earnings. I know it’s not judged on how much you’re making monthly but I’m a bit worried about them not judging content creation as a real job!

Is it possible to apply for DTV as a YouTuber? Since I've already quit my regular job, I'd like to know if it's possible to apply if I'm earning income only as a content creator on platforms like YouTube and Facebook.

Interesting news for content creators (the daring ones 😝 mostly): I've noticed some people in this group asking if this was allowed. Now, you might have your answer.

So have anyone tried getting it working with onlyfans? I'm confused about the portifólio they ask 😬
