I'm going for my over 50 visa in April when I hit the big age and am using Thai visa (Grace) for this.

In mean time, I need to extend my visa exempt by 30 days to March after which I'm going out of country for a little bit.

What do I need at the Surin immigration office? I thought I had it worked out but then read a few other posts and got confused again.

I am about to stay at a friend's so I will need them to do a tm30?

Then I just take passport down and ask to renew and pay fee?

I have already applied at Surin Immigration to convert my TR visa to a Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai national, and I am now awaiting the outcome. I was told I would hear from them by March 12th, but was advised to call ahead in advance to confirm beforehand. I called immigration today and was told no decision had yet been made and that I may not hear from them until after my TR visa has expired on March 15th. I was told that overstaying due to these circumstances wouldn't be a problem. This doesn't sound right to me at all - am I wrong?

I have a receipt from Surin immigration for the payment of Non-O visa application, but they did not stamp 'under consideration' in my passport, or indeed any stamp at all.

Any advice appreciated.

Today at Surin Immigration they are handing out the official letter addressing the extension of grace period to 31 October.

I have an Extention Renewal in September, (Married), has anybody had experience with Surin (Kap Cheong) Immigration excepting less than 12 months of monthly payments from OS? given that they said they would be lenient this year.

A friend of mine went to days ago to extend his OA visa ,he got in UK.

He showed his proof of money, more than 800000 Baht , in his Thai banc account , the money is there over 3 month. All worked fine until the IO checked the bank book. He denied the extension because my friend doesn't have this bank account not over 1 year. I'm not sure that this is a requirement. He lives in Sisaket but now he thinks maybe to try some other immigration Surin or Ubon.

Was it just made up by the IO ?

Immigration Opening Hours on Saturdays , Sisaket and I heard Surin to. Not sure about the others in Thailand .
