My retirement visa ends July 8. I am not eligible to renew it as I will not have the required funds in a Thai bank.
I have had the required $$$ in the past but not in my Thai bank account and don’t want to transfer my social security account out of the US.
I want to fly out of Thailand and return in a week or two as a (tourist) US citizen with the 30 day no visa allowance.
After the 30 days in CM as a tourist, I would then go to the US for at least 2 months and then apply for a tourist visa to return for two months and possibly renew here for 1 more month.
I do not plan to stay a year in the future but be a tourist during the “good air” months.
Is the 30 day option allowed as my retirement visa ends so close to the use of the no visa (30 days tourist) option?
The reason for this short return is that my plan to go to the US for two months has a date not compatible with my July 8 departure from Thailand. My arrangements there begin July 28 so actually I would only return to Thailand on the 30 day allowance for about 3 weeks.
Thanks for any advice.
