I suggest not to trust any agency selling the Elite Visa. Go direct to the Thai Government site to buy this Elite Visa. Believe nothing the private Elite Visa Agencies prints or says

And NO REFUNDS either. Just remember that. Thais change their minds (and their visas) like the weather. So if you pay a few million THB up front for an elite visa, don’t be surprised if it’s gone in a year or two. And you’ll get zero compensation. Oh and don’t complain you smelly farang! :-)

 banking on poor farangs all leaving whatever and those who already put down roots and are able to afford elite to not have their lives uprooted having no choice but to find enough for a 20% hike, I guess. Leaves a nasty taste in the mouth

 I lived 14 years in Thailand on retirement visa. Never put momey in bank paid a total under 200,000 over the entire time.

 it is a good visa for those with reasonable money resources and don't want the hassle of annual immigration visits, minimum funds held in Thai bank account etc. It won't be withdrawn as many people bought and use

 Yes, as part of their contract agents can't increase the price of the visa or charge a service fee. They just get a percentage of the sale, not sure what it is. Same with apple products.

I'd say talk to Thai Elite directly. When I did mine I applied through the "top google result". Didn't even realise it was an agency of some sort (worked out nicely and didn't cost anything extra.)
