Question for the wise. If a person is on a Thai education visa and needs to leave the country at any point during the term of the visa will there be any issues leaving even if not being in country for less than 3 months? Are there any penalties or problems coming back into the country the next visit. If the ED visa is voided that is not an issue.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A person on a Thai education visa (ED visa) can generally leave the country. However, if they leave while the visa is still valid, it is important to check any specific rules that may apply regarding re-entry. Typically, there should be no penalties for leaving or returning, even if the duration outside of Thailand is less than three months. Nonetheless, it is recommended to confirm with the immigration authorities or the institution that issued the visa to avoid any potential issues during re-entry.
