I used to have an extension permit on work permit but It didn’t have been cancelled officially , then I entered Thailand on tourist visa while I guess my extension permit was valid , now I hold multiple entry tourist visa .

Do you think I would face any issues in the future if I apply for long term visa due to my uncanceled extension permit ?!

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about the impact of an uncancelled extension permit on their future long-term visa application in Thailand. A respondent advises that they likely cannot apply for a long-term visa or annual extension until they properly cancel the existing extension. It is suggested that the user should visit the immigration office that issued the extension to cancel it, and they might also need to cancel their old work permit.

Yes, most likely, you cannot apply for a long-term in-country visa and/or yearly extension at the local immigration office inside Thailand until you cancel your existing extension, regardless of whether it's expired or not.

Go to the immigration office that issued that extension to cancel it next time you are in Thailand. You may also need to cancel your old work permit if it's not cancelled as well. You may or may not be fined (same rate as overstay fine, up to 20K baht) for not cancelling it properly, depending on when your extension based on employment expires.
