Will my 71-day return ticket cause issues with Thai immigration if I have a 60-day tourist visa?

I'm applying for a 60 day tourist visa from the US. I'm buying a round trip ticket with a return date 71 days from the date I depart. I plan to extend before my 60 days are up. Will that be an issue when I arrive in Thailand going through immigration at the airport, because my departure is beyond 60 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Entering Thailand with a 60-day tourist visa and a 71-day return ticket should not cause problems with Thai immigration as long as you have a valid visa. The main concern might be at the US airport where airline staff check your travel documents. Be sure to print and present your eVisa and confirm your return flight details with the airline to avoid issues.

You could have an issue with the airline who flies you in. They will all to see the ticket. If it doesn't match the visa time, in worst case scenario, they can raise to fly you. The airlines always want to see your exit ticket.

With a valid Thai tourist visa you will not have any problems entering Thailand with the Thai Immigration Officers.

Be sure to PRINT OUT the Evisa email you received that has your Thai Tourist Visa.

Show it to the airline Staff on checking in for your flight โœˆ๏ธ to Thailand...

Show them your return flight โœˆ๏ธ departing Thailand.

Safe and Enjoy Thailand ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ

No problem at immigration in Thailand.

Any problems that may arise will be with your airline when you check in at US airport.
