TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster, a New Zealand citizen living in Phuket for 10 years on a retirement visa, inquires if they can renew their visa after withdrawing 150,000 baht from their bank account, noting they still maintain an average balance above 650,000 baht and consistent monthly deposits. Responses from the community indicate that the visa renewal requirements include maintaining 800,000 baht for two months before renewal and not dropping below 400,000 baht afterward. Some suggest the possibility of using a combination of banked money and income, but caution that failing to meet the three-month minimum balance rule could complicate their renewal. The poster expresses frustration about the situation and a desire to handle it without agents.

They don't assessment based on your latest bank balance..if your account all along have sufficient money, approval should be easy .

Does your NZ embassy issue income letters still? If they do that maybe another way to go.

Only other option is to find an agent who can massage the system for you… good luck..

IF you are going to use the combination method this year <- as in you're switching from banked money method that you used last year to combo, you need to meet the requirements from last year (which was have the 800K baht in your account for 3 months after your extension was granted, and then not let the balance go below 400K the rest of the year) AND you have to have 12 months of international transfers. Most offices take the lowest month of the 12 and use that as the "base line" for the international transfer amount SO make sure that what ever you have in the account as the banked portion when added to the yearly lowest monthly transfer is over 800K baht

AND

Keep in mind there are offices that just plain refuse to let people use the combo method because it's more paperwork and document checking for them SO go check with your office before you go get your extension

nope, you're on your own

Believe me the office WILL catch that you failed to meet the bank the money for 3 months after requirements for the extension you're on now when you go to apply for a new one. 😕

Perhaps it's time you started looking at agents/agencies to get this yearly extension this time around and get your shit together for NEXT time

The requirement is to keep 800k 2 month before renew and 3 month after renew. The rest month is 400k minimum.

I believe you can still mix the income and banking requirements.

I was thinking the same thing. 47K X 12mos = 564K plus the 650K he has in the bank is more than enough. However, I think the question may be do the 47K monthly deposits show as arriving from outside of TL on his bank statement?

กะลาสี หมา. If the 47k/month is every calendar month and is shown as a foreign transfer, you can as Garrett has said, use the combination method.

drops a baht under 800k
