Will I face any issues with my 60-day tourist visa upon arrival in Thailand after multiple visits this year?

Hi Everyone I fly to Thailand tomorrow from the UK on a 60 day tourist visa. I have also filled in my Digital Arrivals Card. I arrive on the 28th of November. I have visited Thailand for 30 days already 3 times this year as a tourist. I have a holiday Condo. I have been coming to Thailand since 1996 and usually one visit every few years but since i bought my holiday home 18 months ago I have been coming every 4 months for 30 days. I have never had a visa extension or a border run. I have funds in baht with me and a return ticket. I also have records of my employment. Anyone see any problems with the new rules? I understand they may want to question me. My wife and Daughters are Thai but live in the UK but that won't make any difference. I will also update you on the 28th and let you know what the outcome is to try and help others which is why this forum is here. Many thanks In advance David

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, who has a history of visiting Thailand frequently on a tourist visa, is concerned about potential issues upon arrival due to new immigration rules. They have filled out a Digital Arrivals Card, have a valid return ticket, and sufficient funds. Several commenters advise that, based on the user's travel patterns and documentation, they should not encounter significant problems at immigration, but experiences can vary depending on the immigration officer.

in what way are they being strict? I had 2 friends fly in last week with separately with quite a few visa exempt entry’s but no extensions or border bounces and no questions asked. I know it’s down to the IO but are people being questioned even without exemptions and border bounces?

you are needlessly spreading panic. There was nothing in the news that Phuket does not recognize "real tourists". They are aimed at those who abuse the visa-exempt system with border runs. And they aim at those who use "Fake Tickets" (onwardtickets) as a proof of onward travel within the 60 days. They announced that they will deny entry to passengers holding "fake tickets"

I don't work in Thailand 😂😂😂 Do you need proof of what was said on the Phuket Immigration meeting? It was all over the Thai media. You should have no trouble finding it

I heard from someone today who was in a similar position, they sailed straight through immigration no questions, he did say he kept his boarding passes so they could see the flight originated in the UK though.

Please do share you experiences though

I'm sure you will be fine with your history, you have acted as a tourist would so i think you are worrying needlessly. Enjoy your family holiday

Looking at your prior history of travel and stays, all should be peachy, BUT; as it has been said many times before, it all comes down to the Immigration Officer you end up standing in front of.

If you were still a bit concerned, try a Fast Track arrival service like All Sabai
@AllSabaai *****
they meet you at the arrivals hall and take you through an Immigration area that services holders of the Elite Visa and Airline staff.

I have used them before all this current kerfuffle going on; it is obviously a paid service, but would be worth making contact and see what they can offer, things may have changed on the Fast Track arrival service they provided me. They asked me for my prior visits history and passport stamps etc, to see if I met the criteria.

All the best Chap.

Great info I sent them a message on line to see if they can help just in case. I booked the holiday before the rules change not that it will help my case. I think I will enquire about a long term visa if I get in as it will take the gambling out of it and un-needed anxiety 😌

A total of 90 days, even with three entries and stays in your home country in between, should still be fine.

You should have no issues as you’re doing what a “typical” tourist would do.

They’re out to get the serial “visa runners” or “border bouncers” not genuine tourists.
