Good afternoon.

Just some information from my arrival back in Thailand on December 30.

Just returned from my Christmas holiday in USA and Canada.

I am a OA visa holder who is still sorting out medical insurance.

On arrival at BKK, the immigration officer did not ask anything about the lack of insurance and stamped me in for 1 year.

Just to add: I arrived Suvarnabhumi yesterday from US. I'm here on my year extension of my OA visa which expired in early October, so left and came back with a re entry permit. I recently got insurance here and was prepared to show docs but was not asked.

that 12 company mandatory is applied only when you apply 1 year extension (not the second year admitted to stay stamp) from Non O-A at your local immigration office. You can use an insurance company in a foreign country when you apply Non O-A at your home (or holding legal residency) country as long as they can provide specified document.

@Kevin *********
did you have one of the 12 health insurances stipulated or a different one and was it accepted?

Maybe both of you,
@St***
and
@Ke***
, should mention the date that your Non-Imm O-A visa was issued. ?

Ok, I arrived on the 25th with a new OA Visa and was asked for insurance certificate.

My OA was issued in April 2019, that may be why.
