Will having funds in a company account affect my DTV application as a German citizen?

I'm a German citizen (and passport holder) currently in Germany.

I have a company registered in Hong Kong and my bank account with the necessary funds has the company name on it (not my name). Is that a problem when applying for the DTV?

TLDR : Answer Summary
As a German citizen applying for the Thai DTV visa, having funds in a company-owned bank account is problematic. The funds must be in an individual or personal account, as Thai embassies reject business accounts as valid proof of funds. It's crucial to have a personal bank account with the required amount, as exceptions are rare and processing may vary by location.

You don’t have a bank account with the funds. Your company does.

Yes, but I (and nobody else) have full control over it.

As with nearly all Thai E–Visas, any Thai Embassy/Consulate processing and deciding whether to issue a Thai E–Visa will look for proof of funds to be in an individual/personal account, not business account.

It is at the discretion of the Thai Embassy/Consulate whether they will entertain accepting business accounts or not, and from the experience and reports of many over the years for various Thai Visas and situations, = it's an individual/personal account

However, I will not say never as there might be specific, individual circumstances at a specific Thai Embassy/Consulate with a particular Thai consular official where it might work, but keep things simple and straightforward is always a good thing!

The funds need to be in an account in the name of the applicant. Business accounts are not acceptable

Yes, that's no good and if don't have a HKID, as far as I understand you need to apply from Germany and follow their local embassy rules, which appear to be a little bit different than HK (I looked it up before briefly)

I still have my HKID and I'm already in Germany. Can you tell me which "rules" you are referring to?

Thanks. I just read the website. I don't see anything that would automatically lead to a rejection of my application. They just talk about "financial proof" which I have. I can proof through company documents that I have access to the bank accounts.

Anonymous participant Applicants have been rejected for not having the 500k in a business account instead of a personal account. Regardless of access, personal accounts are what embassies approve on.

If I can't use my business account for the financial proof then I don't know how to solve this problem for now.

Anonymous participant Show 500k in a personal bank account.

Anonymous participant I doubt they would accept a company account, but perhaps ask at the embassy/consulate

That can certainly be a problem, you need to have your own 500K, and even money in a company owned 100 percent by you, is not your own money.
