I believe there is a van service to Ranong, then Myanmar. It is the only border still open with Myanmar. The other land option is the train to Malaysia. Other than that, it is back to Bangkok and fly out.

Fly. I took a train to Vientiane from Bangkok last year and back. Terrible idea. Had my balls in a vice grip coming back through Nong Kai

Anonymous participant 689 long story short, the lady IO kept asking questions and telling me I was not going to enjoy Thailand until the last second… when she suddenly stamped my passport and I had to run to the train. I almost missed the departure. Mind you, entry and departure via train is allowed with DTV.

Probably best to fly out of Bangkok for the day
